LONDON FASHION WEEK with Pentagram (Hudson-Powell), 2018
Design, Brand Application, Artworking
The London Fashion Week series of events, designed by the team at Hudson-Powell in 2018, expanded on the ideas explored during Autumn/Winter 2018 with the theme of ‘Discovery’ at its core. London Fashion Week is made up of two parts: the main ‘Fashion Week’ event and the ‘Mens’ event. Team Hudson-Powell were tasked with designing an identity that could adapt to each of the events while maintaining a sense of cohesion.
The Men’s event saw objects that had inspired the designers’ collections digitally scanned and rendered within three dimensional environments that were used in print and motion. The Fashion Week event and Festival reinterpreted the idea of discovery by delving into archival photography and creating three dimensional environmental collages.
An interchanging, typographic gridded framework was used to create a system to tie the series together, with each event finding its own language in its typographic treatment. Designed with animation and digital environments in mind, the identities were brought to life on screens, wayfinding systems and banners that dominated the event space.
My main role within this project was to assist with concepting, executing and delivering work for print and web whilst maintaining the brand identity and working within set guidelines designed by the team at Hudson-Powell.
